Francesca Burbela is a Soprano based in Leicester with a passion for choral singing. She
graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2021 with a First Class Honours degree in
Music and is currently very excited to be undertaking a Masters in Speech and Language
Therapy at University College London.
Career highlights from recent years include the release of two CD recordings of English choral
music with two solo items sung by Francesca, and also being a member of The Sixteen’s
Genesis Sixteen Cohort 12, led by Harry Christophers, which included a Choral Evensong
broadcast on BBC Radio 3 in the summer of 2023. Francesca’s career has also taken her on
multiple international tours with ensembles including the LSSO, Leicester University Chamber
Choir, and most recently with the Royal Academy Chamber Choir to Neresheim, Germany. She
has performed in multiple BBC Proms performances with the NYCGB, including the opening
night of the Proms in 2018, and also with the Birmingham University Singers.
Whilst studying, she is continuing her freelance work as a singer and as publicity officer for the
charity, Leicester MusicFest. She is also a member of the brand-new chamber choir, Omnium
Ensemble, which had great success in their recent debut concert in September 2024.
